Becoming a Disrupter: Why I Stopped Leading for Approval and Started Leading for Impact

I never set out to be a disrupter.

I set out to be good.
To be excellent.
To be who they needed.
To lead the way I was taught—quietly, obediently, and without asking too many questions.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

When you’re a woman, a survivor, or someone who has learned to lead from trauma, your power will always feel like rebellion.
Even when it’s actually just authenticity.

The Lie: “Don’t Make Waves”

From foster care to military leadership to corporate boardrooms—I was trained to be efficient, not disruptive.
Polished, not passionate.
Obedient, not original.

But something happens when your soul starts speaking louder than your performance.

And when it did, I had a choice to make:
Protect the system—or disrupt it for the sake of my purpose.

What Does It Mean to Be a Disrupter?

Being a disrupter isn’t about tearing everything down.

It’s about choosing truth over tradition.
Vision over validation.
Integrity over image.

It’s about being willing to lead from your voice, not just your role.
To challenge the “this is how we’ve always done it” energy.
To show people that leadership can be human, healing, and still high-performing.

How I Help Others Become Disrupters

Through my frameworks—like the Reclaim + Rise Method™, the Ownership Operating System™, and my monthly Leadership Repatterning Lab—I help leaders unlearn survival-based obedience and step into visionary ownership.

We don’t just talk about confidence—we rebuild identity.
We don’t just talk about mindset—we repattern behavior.
We don’t just follow systems—we design new ones.

You’re Not Too Much. You’re Just a Disruptor.

If you’ve ever been told:

  • “You’re too intense”

  • “You’re too emotional”

  • “You’re too ambitious”

  • “You’re too direct”

Let me tell you what I’ve learned:
That’s your power being felt in a room not ready for your purpose.

And your job isn’t to shrink—it’s to shift the space.

Final Word:

Disrupting doesn’t make you dangerous.
It makes you necessary.

Because real leadership isn’t about fitting in.

It’s about reclaiming your voice and using it with wisdom, vision, and truth.

Let’s rise.
